The Summer of the Red Glove

The Summer of the Red Glove is the summer (2023) when I brought these red latex gloves with me to every art thing I participated in. I had already been working with gloves as a stage object and as a tool for fabricating seduction, and when I went to Materials for the Arts in Queens as part of my residency at Le Petit Versailles community garden, I found a heaping mound of latex ones. I buried them, slapped them, we made a short film with them, I made a solo with them, we made a duo with them, we broke them, then I mended them with a string and needle and put it on stage.

On this page, I'll share some images from this material research that are not present elsewhere.
