Wattwiller

L’abreuvoir was a collective created to work together one summer in Wattwiller (FR) around questions of water, territory, the space which surrounded us, and our bodies that were dwelling there. During our six-week residency, we cared for a horse and a cat named. We tried to apply observational methods found in ethnology to our own artistic practices and ways of working together.

Through video, walking, body, painting, and writing practices, we created a layered perspective on the surrounding areas. Since then, the collective no longer exists but was transformed into a long-term collaboration in localized research.
